In this part of the site you can view a copy of a sixteenth-century account book detailing the purchase of The Halls by the city in 1538, and its transcription. You can also read other documents relating to The Halls, and the black friars in general. You can also discover what medieval people thought of the friars, and the rules that governed their daily life.
